A cycle of the 2D robotic arm can be divided into eight steps.
The first step is that when a workpiece appears on worktable A—detectable by the photoelectric coupler I0.3 being ON—the robotic arm begins to descend. Once the arm has reached its lower limit—detectable by the limit switch I0.5 being ON—the arm stops descending, and the first step is completed.
The second step is for the robotic arm to begin gripping the workpiece at its lowest position; it holds and tightens for approximately 10 seconds (T101=ON), after which this step concludes.
The third step is for the robotic arm to grip the workpiece and lift it. When the arm reaches its upper limit (detectable by limit switch I0.4 being ON), it stops rising, and the third step is completed.
The fourth step is for the robotic arm to grip the workpiece and move it to the right. When the arm reaches its rightmost position—detectable by limit switch I0.7 being ON—the arm halts its rightward motion, concluding the fourth step.
Step 5: The robotic arm begins to descend from its rightmost position. When the arm reaches the home position on Workstation B—detectable by limit switch I0.5 being ON—the arm halts its descent, and Step 5 concludes.
The sixth step involves the robotic arm beginning to release the workpiece, which takes approximately 10 seconds (T102-ON). After 10 seconds, the workpiece is released, and the sixth step concludes.
Step 7 is when the robotic arm begins to rise. Once the arm has reached its upper limit—detectable by limit switch I0.4 being ON—the lifting motion stops, and Step 7 concludes.
Step 8: The robotic arm begins to move left from the high position. When it reaches the home position—detectable by limit switch I0.6 going ON—the arm stops moving left, and this step is completed.
